Frequently Asked Questions
To provide a healthier more hygienic environment for you, your family, friends, neighbors or employees.
Yes, but this practice wastes a lot of water (up to 150 litres), leaves a smelly residue, and doesn't eliminate harmful bacteria that cause disease. Additionally, you risk contaminating your neighbour's' driveways and lawns, as well as your own. Runoff can also potentially enter storm drains, polluting our waterways.
Our vehicles are fully self-contained and emit no contaminants into storm drains, helping to reduce urban runoff into rivers, streams, and oceans. Our wash cycle uses less than one gallon of water to thoroughly clean and sanitize each container. In two years of monthly cleanings, we use less water than a single cleaning of trash bins. All products used are biodegradable. By contributing to a greener environment, your household, community, and the environment all benefit!
We recommend cleaning after every waste cycle. Domestic clients, such as those living in strata, multi-family townhouses, and complexes, may find a service every second waste collection sufficient. Commercial clients, on the other hand, require a more regular service.
Yes, we carry worker’s compensation and full liability insurance.
We need to ensure your trash can is emptied before we perform our service. We operate sometime after the garbage service and will do our best to provide same-day service, depending on your collection schedule. However, the latest we service your trash can at your curbside is 7 PM. If collection is later than that, we will be there first thing the following day. We ask that you leave your cans curbside overnight, or if that is not convenient, please leave them somewhere easily accessible. We will be happy to move them in the morning. We only ask that you do not leave them in a place where we would need to enter your property (e.g., behind a gate).
We work in all but the most extreme weather conditions. Very heavy rainfall, lightning, or heavy snowfall will prevent us from cleaning your trash can. In such cases, we will endeavour to clean your trash can during the next garbage cycle.
We operate according to your city's waste collection schedule. Most cities collect waste on all statutory holidays, except for Christmas Day and New Year's Day. Please check the latest waste collection calendar for your city for the most up-to-date information.
